Victoria Calder

Victoria was born and initially brought up in Perthshire Scotland but has spent much of her life in the South of England.  Now living in West Berkshire where she enjoys the wonderful local countryside and draws upon it for inspiration she likes to travel widely and enjoys many trips to her native Scotland travelling around and seeking out it’s hidden and less trodden areas for views of coast and countryside.

Working primarily in oils and in open air where weather permits she likes to find intriguing and wonderful places to paint or at the very least when wet to sketch and take photographs which can be worked upon back in the studio.  She likes to work in a semi-abstract manner and forever has an eye for bright colours and unusual aspects.  Between landscapes and seascapes She likes to produce colourful still life paintings of everyday objects using both oils and acrylics to produce vivid and attractive paintings for the home.

Victoria is happy to undertake commissions and indeed does so regularly, so please do get in touch if you are interested in obtaining a painting of a specific location that may mean something of importance to you or a loved one or yours and she will be happy to discuss.

Several of her works can be currently seen in The Gallery Hungerford Berkshire and she participates in the West Berkshire and North Hampshire Open Studios.  @thegallerylittlebedwyn @oswbnh
